Child Protection & Adolescents Empowerment
DESH has been implementing child protection & adolescent empowering project in the disadvantadged community of urban and rural areas of Bangladesh . prevention of child marriage and gender based violence. It also emphasis on child abuse, trafiking, abuse, drugs, child labour, corporation punishment etc. DESH provides life skills-based education (LSBE) and martial arts training for empowering adolescents. DESH is involve the child with the proper servicing institution ensuring to continue of the child development.
1. Child Protection and Adolescent Empowerment Program to Eliminate Violence against Children and Women and Harmful Practices: Working area:
Mymensingh Division & Gazipur city corporation of Bangladesh since September 2021 to August 2022. Funded by: UNICEF Bangladesh.


Adolescents connected through 40 adolescent clubs. Now the peer leaders transfer LSBE to adolescents in the clubs on a regular basis. Around 1800 adolescents connected through club sessions & adolescents and their parents come in the club for LSBE sessions & monthly meeting. adolescents support their friends and community for ending child marriage and harmful practices. Orientation also given to vulnerable adolescents on civic engagement as well as positive parenting which was a major intervention of the project. According to the development plan, the project identified the vulnerable and then ensured prevention of VAC. Any other cases related to GBV and child marriage referring to better services in the support Centre.
2. Accelerating Protection of Children in Mymensingh Division and Gazipur City Corporation: An Innovative Approach to Empowering Adolescent Virtually:
Project duration: August 2020 to July 2021. Funded by UNICEF Bangladesh

3. Enabling Environment for Child Rights (EECR) Project.
DESH has been implementing this project at Mymensingh & Netrakona Districts. Project duration (July 2010- June 2014) Funded by MoWCA through UNICEF


Created a culture of respect for children’s protection rights and enabling the environment by changing social norms through social protection services. On the other hand, strengthened capacity in government sector and civil society for responding to protection issues by establishing protective mechanisms against abuse, exploitation and violence. Besides, the project also provided skill development training & seed money for out-of-school adolescents.
4. Adolescent Club:
Funded by: PEAK-GFC


DESH has been implementing Adolescent Clubs in the working areas. Adolescent peer leaders trained from each club and now they can cascade down or transfer LSBE sessions among the adolescent. To end child marriage and harmful practices, adolescents support their friends and community by creating awareness sessions.
