Non-Formal Education
DESH provides educational support to children. DESH is dedicated to its core mission of inclusivity, which revolves around providing quality education to disadvantaged children within society. DESH works to ensure education for disadvantaged children by using joyful learning methods to promote equal education rights in society. Major NFE projects of our initiatives are given below:
1.Ensure education for disadvantaged children project: Funded by: Global Fund for Children-USA.


The project emphasis imparted non-formal education for vulnerable children through pre-primary education and ability-based education. Moreover, the project also ensuring many interventions such as child development, child rights & protection, Life skills-based education (LSBE) and martial arts training for adolescents. Apart from these, DESH has been implementing this project in the slum of Mymensingh city corporation since June 2022, till to date.
2. Reaching Out of School Children (ROSC) Project: Funded by World Bank through DPE


DESH has implemented Reaching out of School Children (ROSC) Project. DESH has implemented 70 Ananda schools, which main activity was reaching out of school children by ROSS project in the working area of Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh District. Total Number of learners was 2450 school dropout children (8-14 ages). The Duration of the project was (1st January 2006 –30th December 2010).
3. Eradicating Hazardous Child Labour Project: Funded by Ministry of Labour & Employment


DESH has established 36 non-formal primary education and 40 SDT centers. Around 893 child laborers received non-formal primary education & SDT who were involved earlier in hazardous child labor. The project location area is Mymensingh & Sylhet City corporation, and the project phase is January 2022 to December 2022. Now the child labor is being increased numeracy skills, basic literacy and other necessary skills as well under the program of non-formal education. The project covered two components, first one is NFE and another is STD.
4. Post Literacy & Continue Education for Human Development (PLCEHD-2) Project: Funded by: BNFE


DESH has Implemented PLCEHD-2 Project. DESH successfully implemented 53 Learning centers at Bhuapur & Madhupur sub-district of Tangail district under PLCEHD-2 project. Total 4200 new literate (male 2100 & 2100 Female) received training on post literacy and now they have been continuing education (skill development training-SDT) in the targeted area. The project duration was July 2012 –May 2014.
